Visit to St George’s Chapel Windsor
We enjoyed an absolutely fascinating guided tour of St George’s Chapel, Windsor in early May with tea and cakes in the Dean’s Cloisters followed by Evensong. Special thanks go to Janet Gough for her introduction which made this all possible. The event attracted a large number of members who had not previously attended any of our reunions so we hope they will be encouraged to continue their membership and come along to our annual lunches as well.
If anyone has any ideas or contacts for future events then please do get in touch with the Committee.
Michael Turner
We have to report the very sad news that Michael Turner, head of the Clocks and Watches Department has recently died after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Michael was a long standing member of staff who will be remembered fondly by many of us.
His funeral will be held on:
Wednesday 26th August at 2pm
St Mary Abbots, Kensington High Street, London W8 4LA
There will be a reception after the service in the adjoining Vicarage Garden.
If anyone would like to attend please RSVP to treasurer@tasp.org.uk by the 21st August as this is essential for catering purposes.
We also have to report the death of Sheila Temperton who worked in the IT department for many years, quietly and efficiently managing things behind the scenes.
Good News
Finally some good news to impart. After a gap last year we are holding another reunion lunch at London Scottish House which has proved a very popular venue.
Please see the following invitation and reply to: secretary@tasp.org.uk if you wish to attend.
